Small Business Incubators: Review of State Policy, Funding, and Incubator Performance |
| Abstract |
The 2006 Biennial Operating Budget directed JLARC to review the State’s policy on funding and tax preferences for business incubators. The review will include an examination of the types, costs and performance outcomes of business incubators. Additionally, the review will inventory those business incubators existing in the State, and describe their purposes, financial and tax support, businesses and jobs created, criteria for state support. The review will also assess policies for reducing or terminating state support of business incubators.
