Topic

undue influence - state agency - special privileges - private benefit or gain

Respondent Rep's Armstrong, Condotta and Senator Linda Evans Parlette
Question/Complaint Did the Respondents violate RCW 42.52.070 or RCW 42.52.160 through their involvement with a state agency on behalf of constituents?
Summary Complaint dismissed for lack of reasonable cause to believe the ethics act had been violated when legislators met with agency supervisory personnel when constituents complained about an agency employee.  No undue influence involved as legislators were properly exercising discretionary duties within the parameters of their legislative offices.
