The Senate Financial Institutions & Insurance Committee considers issues relating to credit freeze, pay day lending, sub-prime mortgage regulation and prohibited practices, insurance filings and reporting requirements, regulation of financial solvency of insurance companies, regulation of market conduct of insurance companies, insurance claims and frauds securities, banking and private lending and finance, credit unions, Uniform Commercial Code-secured transactions, credit card marketing and technology, consumer credit histories, community credit needs, personal credit histories, mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, small loans, limitations, and pawn brokers.
